12/12/18 – MMF series optical mount flippers from Siskiyou Corporation provide a simple solution for setups in which components must be selectively removed and accurately replaced in the beam path.  These new mount flippers enable this common task to be performed in seconds with excellent repeatability eliminating the need for time-consuming re-alignment.  Specifically, MMF mount flippers are hinged platforms supplied with an array of ¼×20 and 8-32 (or M6 and M4) tapped holes.  This enables them to hold a wide variety of Siskiyou optical mounts and motion stages, and then simply pivot by 90° to move the mounted component either in or out of the beam path.

The hinge is specifically designed to eliminate wobble and ensure repeatability (5 arcsec); a magnetic catch ensures that the component does not move once placed in the beam path.  The flippers are manufactured completely in-house with thermally matched materials for long-term stability.  Both table and rail (compatible with Siskiyou MDR mini dovetail rails) versions are available.
