Raptor Photonics Ltd. has entered into an agreement with German company Cinogy to market a SWIR (Short wave infrared)
Laser Beam profiling solution.
Raptor’s high performance VISIBLE SWIR camera, the OW1.7-VS-CL-320 features a 320x256 pixel, 30μm x30μm Pixel pitch,
high sensitivity InGaAs sensor with visible extension. The camera is peltier cooled, uses a 14 bit A/D converter and offers
a standard CameraLink output. It is very easy to use due to the Automatic Gain Control (AGC), image enhancement and built-in
3 points non-uniformity correction (NUC). It allows users to capture images from the visible to the Short Wave Infrared range:
0.4μm to 1.7μm with 500ns to 1/fps exposure time.
The OWL camera offers outstanding performance in the Visible-SWIR range and is ideal for pulsed or CW laser beam profiling,
semiconductor inspection, airborne hyperspectral imaging, active imaging and 1.55μm laser line detection. It comes with a
powerful Image Analysis Software (XCAP) and a standard CameraLink frame grabber (EPIX).
Olivier Bernard, Sales Director at Raptor comments “Raptor has been offering a SWIR camera for the past few years.
The OWL offers scientific grade sensitivity and speed, but in a very compact, rugged and low power consumption industrial grade
package.
“We have had a lot of interest from a range of applications, laser beam profiling being one of them. We manufacture OEM camera
solutions so we were looking to work with a specialist in Laser Beam Profiling. So we were delighted to develop this in conjunction
with Cinogy. Our combined products offer a very exciting seamless solution for laser / diode engineers working in this area”, he
continued.
Andy Kaemling, Product Manager at Cinogy comments, “We are very excited to team up with Raptor to offer this solution.
They provide a fantastic SWIR camera and we provide a “best in market” beam profiling solution. Our RayCi software allows
users to drive the Raptor camera and to analyse beam profiles in under two minutes. It is available as a 32 Bit / 64 Bit version
and offers multiple beam profilers support. As well as pixel correction technology, the software offers real-time beam parameter
and beam position control and real-time beam width and statistic determination. There is an automatic beam quality M2 tool and the
software enables graphical visualizations and analysis functions”.
