Base Optics is proud to announce a new strategic partnership with Shanghai Ucome New Material Technology Co., Ltd.
Through this partnership Base Optics is now introducing of a wide range of scintillator crystals, elements, linear arrays and 2D
arrays in experimental and OEM quantities for the American and European market.
CsI scintillation crystals use Cesium Iodide as the matrix material and can be divided into the dopant used, CsI(Tl),
CsI(Na) and pure CsI, which are all colorless transparent cubic crystal. CsI scintillation crystals have characteristics
such as a high density, high average atom number and high detect efficiency to γ ray and X -Ray. The crystal is absent of
cleavage and can be made into detectors of various shapes. CsI scintillation crystals are widely used in applications in
high-energy physics, nuclear physics, space physics, baggage security check, container inspection, etc
Shanghai Ucome New Material Technology Co., Ltd. is located in Shanghai China where the Design, Engineering and Production is
located with a focus on inorganic materials. The technically advanced R&D team is led by PhD and senior professional engineers
who are globally recognized in the field of inorganic material. A large investment of time and money has been devoted to R&D in
inorganic scintillation crystals and detector elements. Ucome is now an industry leader in detector element design and processing
as well as a lead supplier of scintillation crystals for X-ray security check equipment. Ucome is an ISO9001:2008 certified company
with a culture focused on quality.
