Automated testing solution PV-LIT from InfraTec
Solar cell and solar module testing during manufactoring
PV-LIT from InfraTec
August 10, 2012
InfraTec’s fully automated optronic IR test system PV-LIT that now also can be equipped with thermographic systems of the
latest generation and with megapixel resolution (VarioCAM ® High Definition and ImageIR ® 9300) allows serial as well as
individual testing of solar cells and complete solar modules with highest precision. PV-LIT guarantees 100 % quality inspection
within shortest time during the manufacturing process.
The PV-LIT testing system exhibited during the fair represents the latest development of the modular product series by InfraTec
which, at the same time, combines high performance capability with most excellent control comfort. Depending on the individual
task and customer requirements, it is possible to operate with uncooled or cooled camera systems. The new systems by InfraTec
achieve resolutions of up to (2,048 x 1,536) IR pixel with VarioCAM ® High Definition and (1,280 x 1,024) IR pixel with
ImageIR ® 9300 and thus, even smallest failures can be captured with accuracy. The system enables testing of different kinds
of defects. Numerous decisive testing criteria – such as limit values, temperature levels, number and size of defects – can be
determined by the user. Short cycle times of less than a second and a reliable continuous operation allow for use in serial
production. Flexible data interfaces permit optimal adjustment to local conditions.
