Product premiere at the EuroMold 2011! ROFIN, leading manufacturer of laser systems for material processing, showcases the new EasyMark. The 4th generation of ROFIN‘s compact desktop laser marking and engraving system has been redesigned from scratch. The Integral, a laser welding system for large and heavy workpieces, completes the presentation in hall 8, booth A124.



With powerful PowerLine F fiber lasers and a new slicing-software, the EasyMark becomes a fast and flexible laser engraving solution. Three dimensional CAD structures are sliced into layers which the laser subsequently removes. The high ablation volume of state-of-the-art fiber lasers allow for short engraving times, combined with unrivaled precision. Promising applications in the tool and mold industry include engraving of molded inserts and dies and surface structuring of molds. As material hardness has almost no effect, high-strength steels and carbides can be processed as well as ceramics. With high process reliability, no wear and tear, minimum maintenance and, last but not least, excellent environmental compatibility, the EasyMark offers an attractive alternative to other engraving techniques.



All-purpose laser welding workstation Integral

EasyMark‘s new modular concept realizes a huge working area within a extremely compact housing. An all-glass lifting door provides barrier-free access to the working chamber. The system can be optionally equipped with a z-axis, various optics and external or through-the-lens camera solutions. It accommodates completely air-cooled laser sources with powers ranging from 10 to 50 W.

All-purpose laser welding workstation Integral
At the EuroMold, ROFIN also features the laser welding workstation Integral. The Integral combines manual laser welding with CNC operation. A precise cross table moves work-pieces with a maximum weight of 500 kg. The working chamber provides space for objects with up to 500 mm edge length and can be converted to an open system laser class IV workstation. The patented optical system pivots around 2 axes, allowing processing of perpendicular surfaces, undercuts or deep grooves without turning or tilting the workpiece while keeping the microscope in place. The V-track mode simplifies the definition of a complete CNC path, including rotary axis, by setting the starting point and the endpoint only. Throughput of manual repair tasks is significantly improved and even complex welding paths like threaded welds can be defined easily.
