Elbit Systems will be featuring an impressive lineup of new-generation systems and solutions at the Farnborough 2008 exhibition. The company’s sensor-to-shooter concepts and capabilities will be demonstrated via displays, video and multimedia presentations. The exhibition, which takes place from July 14th to 20th, in Hall 1, C17, provides an excellent opportunity for visitors to view Elbit Systems’ breakthrough systems while having access to key marketing representatives who will be onsite throughout the event.

The following are scheduled to appear:

DUST-OFF - Elbit Systems’ solution for Helicopter Low Visibility Landings (LVL) Military helicopters operating in a tactical environment, especially during combat operations, are likely to encounter risks associated with brownout due to rapidity of maneuver, nighttime operations, unfamiliarity with landing zones and heavy gross weight. Helicopter takeoff may also cause brownout due to rotor wash. Dust-Off, Elbit Systems’ solution for brownout situations, is based on a combination of the ANVIS/HUD®-24T (known in the U.K. as DNVG) with LOS Tracker, the "SWORD" Laser RADAR (LADAR) and a Digital Map System (DMS). Dust-Off allows helicopter pilots to maintain situational awareness and avoid obstacles during low visibility flight and adverse landing conditions (Video Presentation).

New Generation ANVIS/HUD® The new generation ANVIS/HUD®-24T features enhanced situational awareness by adding Line-Of-Sight technology to the legacy ANVIS/HUD®. The system is designed to provide enhanced day/night situational awareness and increased survivability.

Laser Obstacle Range & Display for Helicopters – SWORD Elbit Systems’ SWORD is a unique Laser Radar (LADAR) for helicopters, capable of detecting natural and man-made obstacles, such as electrical wires and antennas, and providing real-time alerts to pilots when flying at low altitude and adverse weather conditions. In the Dust-Off configuration, the SWORD also maps the Landing Zone (LZ) terrain and provides real-time indication of hazards in the LZ.

Digital Map System (DMS)
Digital Map System for helicopters performs and presents real-time digital maps in different scales and formats, superimposing various application layers including all mission related data such as terrain features, obstacles, intelligence, training zones and landing procedures.

Multi-Platform & Mission, Patented Virtual Cockpit-Enhanced by Electro-Optics as well as EW/ELINT capabilities A unique, interactive virtual cockpit that allows visitors to experience dynamic flight experiences and missions in various fixed and rotary-wing platforms. A full-screen, interactive panorama will feature high fidelity, out-of-the-window, stunning views and special effects replicating how the avionics systems perform in fully realistic views. This spectacular show has now been further enhanced by the addition electro-optics capabilities and Electronic Warfare/ELINT.

Training & Simulation Solutions
Elbit Systems total training solutions incorporate the real world experience of our work force - active military pilots, tank and naval commanders - whose operational experience is translated into superior training and simulation.

The Hermes® 450
The Hermes® 450 is a versatile, long-endurance UAV, equipped with Elbit Systems' CoMPASS™ EO/IR/LD gimbaled electro-optical payload. Hermes® 450 executes its diverse missions in a highly autonomous manner and is controlled by the Hermes® Universal Ground Control System (UGCS).

Hermes® 450 WK (now called Hermes® 450 B)
The Hermes® 450 B is an all weather platform with dual payload (Electro-optic CCD & IR + Laser and SAR/GMTI), equipped with IATOL. The Hermes® 450 B is to be supplied to the U.K. WATCHKEEPER program.

Hermes® 900 - new Tactical Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) UAV
The Hermes® 900 with its 15m wingspan and 970kg max takeoff weight, is a natural extension of the Hermes® 450 tactical UAV systems with full compatibility in missions and support infrastructure. While offering all Hermes® UAV family capabilities, it features larger multi-payload configurations, higher flight altitude and extended flight time.

Skylark® I
This mini man-pack UAV system is ideal for very close range, beyond-the-hill missions. The system is especially designed for counter-terror applications. This configuration, equipped with algorithms derived from larger Hermes® UAVs, can track fixed and moving targets, an impressive capability for a hand launched UAV.

SKYLARK® II - for longer ranges and extended durations
Skylark® II is a close range class tactical UAV system providing advanced, high performance ISTAR capabilities. The compact and easily deployable system is ideal for both military and homeland defense missions. Its dimensions and weight allow for handling by the 2-person crew during all mission phases from assembly to launch and recovery.

HELMET MOUNTED SYSTEMS
Three generations of innovating and integrating Helmet Mounted Systems (HMS) for both fixed and rotary-wing aircraft has established Elbit Systems as a global leader in the Helmet Mounted Display (HMD) field. The HMD business has been one of the company’s key growth engines. There are currently over 5,500 Elbit Systems' produced HMS' operational in fixed and rotary-wing platforms in Air Forces of over 30 countries.

AIRBORNE SYSTEMS
Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System (JHMCS)
The JHMCS is the standard for USAF and USN front line fighter aircraft - the F-15, F/A-18, F-16, as well as many international F-16A/B/C/D. Key features are multi-mission – air-to-air, air-to-surface, 24 hour display/cueing. The system is designed for pilot effectiveness - it is comfortable, is balanced in weight and C.G., and has demonstrated ejection safety. It is reliable and squadron maintainable.

PIVOT – Pilot Interface & Visual Operating Terminal
The PIVOT is an advanced, all-in-one Flight Management System and Multifunction Control and Display Unit that performs radio and GPS navigation and avionics control via multiple I/O interfaces, enhanced PVI functions, unique algorithms and graphic capabilities. It meets civil certification at Level C in accordance with RTCA DO-1788 and DO-254 and complies with RTCA DO-160D.

Advanced Command, Control, Communication & Mission Management System - Helic3om
Helic3om is an advanced Command, Control, Communication and Mission Management System and 3D Digital Map, providing helicopter pilots and crews with data communications and transmissions, real-time accurate tactical pictures and enhanced situational awareness.

ELECTRO OPTICS SYSTEMS
Air IMINT systems are part of Elbit Systems Electro-optics - Elop’s Air and Space IMINT activities. IMINT systems are at the forefront of long-range airborne photography, for internal and external installation on a variety of fixed wing aircraft. These systems provide electro-optical coverage 24/7 over very large areas from long stand-off distances. They enable image storage or transmission to sophisticated ground stations - all in real-time.

Airborne Reconnaissance System – CONDOR®2
The CONDOR®2 produces real-time, high resolution, simultaneous dual-band (Visible and IR) imaging for Oblique Image Intelligence (IMINT) at high and medium altitudes. The system’s autonomous navigation capability is based on an embedded INS/GPS configuration. The Condor®2 System incorporates an advanced and proven design, which has been chosen by several air forces and it is already operational. It can be installed on a variety of airborne platforms including fighter aircraft, commercial aircraft and unmanned air vehicles.

Advanced Multi-sensor Payload System – AMPS
The AMPS delivers superb 24/7 intelligence and surveillance and tactical reconnaissance (ISTAR) capabilities in harsh weather conditions. It enhances the quality and increases the output of target intelligence production, while allowing for increased crew survivability due to AMPS long observation ranges. The system belongs to Elop's family of comprehensive ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) solutions deployed worldwide.

Multi-Spectral Infrared Countermeasure – MUSIC®
The MUSIC® is an advanced fiber laser based DIRCM system that protects all types of aircraft and helicopters against man-portable heat seeking surface-to-air missiles known as MANPADS. MUSIC® has high reliability and low life cycle costs and is an effective solution for protecting military, VIP and commercial aircraft.

GUIDED MUNITIONS
Laser-Guided Bomb Adapter (LIZARD)
The LIZARD is a Laser Seeker adaptation to normal "dumb" bombs for improved hit accuracy against moving targets and strong winds, featuring improved jamming rejection. Lizard will be viewed as part of the Gripen outdoor display OE 10

GATR-L Guided Advanced Tactical Rocket, Laser (STAR),
The STAR is a Laser Guidance Kit installed on 68/70 mm rockets to convert them into a metric precision guided weapon. STAR can be used for Air-to-Ground or Ground-to-Ground missions, against soft or lightly armored stationary or fast-moving targets. It can be launched from a variety of platforms, providing high kill probability and very low collateral damage, at an affordable cost.

ELISRA will present a range of systems and solutions at Elbit Systems stand.
